A small workshop for files that should stay put.
ToolSpruce is a set of free tools for the file chores that usually send a photo or a PDF to someone else’s server: turning an iPhone HEIC into a JPG, shrinking a picture before email, or joining a few pages into one PDF.
Every tool runs in your browser. The page you load includes the code that does the work. When you drop a file, it is read in memory on that device, converted, and offered back as a download. ToolSpruce does not have an upload form, a user account, or a place where those files could be stored.
What you can do
- WebP to PNG — Export WebP images as PNG, including transparency.
- WebP to JPG — Turn WebP photos into JPGs that open almost everywhere.
- AVIF to JPG — Open modern AVIF pictures as ordinary JPG files.
- AVIF to PNG — Keep AVIF detail and transparency in a PNG.
- Resize and crop — Change pixel dimensions or crop a region, privately.
- HEIC to JPG — Turn iPhone HEIC photos into JPG files.
- HEIC to PNG — Export iPhone HEIC photos as PNG.
- HEIC to PDF — Place iPhone photos on the pages of one PDF.
- JPG to PDF — Combine JPG images into one PDF, in order.
- PDF to JPG — Export every PDF page as a JPG image.
- Compress image — Shrink JPG, PNG, and WebP files before you send them.
- Merge PDF — Join PDFs in the order you choose.
- Split PDF — Save every page, or the ranges you type, as new PDFs.
What we don’t do
There is no cloud history and no “we’ll email you the result” step. Very large files can fail when a browser runs out of memory, and password-protected PDFs are refused rather than collected. HEIC photos are decoded with a WebAssembly build of libheif that is loaded only on the HEIC pages.
The site is static. It is meant to be hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Labeled ad slots are reserved for Google AdSense and stay empty until advertising is switched on in the site configuration. The privacy policy describes both states.
